Learning about electricity in one day and visualizing circuits based on schematics was definitely unfamiliar territory. I found relief after taking a stab at tinkering with the breadboard, and I realize that it’s actually fun to learn hardware this way. That first LED blink was a thrill for sure.
Setting up the breadboard
Some learnings:
- Wires follow a maze-like pattern, as it connects from power source to the ground.
- Wires and components connect through rows; But no 2 leads can be on the same row.
- The junction in the middle breaks the flow of current
Practice with Schematic Sketches:
Switches and Motors in Series and Parallel
Again on paper, it was a bit fuzzy, but using a switch to power an LED and a motor, I am able to understand these two concepts much clearer.
