In repurposing Truth or Dare on Facebook, the idea is simple: When players CHOOSE TRUTH, they must reveal their true selves by exposing their recent search history, and if they CHOOSE DARE, they must deliver a fake content post.
For this round, we are using facebook as the social media platform of choice.
- Form a group of 2-4 people
- Log onto your social networks
- Spin the bottle to pick first player
- Ask “truth or dare?”
- For truth, have player post a screenshot of one of their search histories (facebook, instagram, internet browser, etc).
- For dare, command the player to take a random selfie, tag the first person that comes up under any letter, and post the selfie along with #blessed.
- Wait for reactions / repeat.
The goal of the game is to push people outside of their social media comfort zone by interacting with those they don’t, and revealing things about themselves through uncomfortable ways, ie, things you would never do or say on a facebook post. The result could be impeding on a user’s data privacy, and or simply cause a stir and reaction from the audience.
